To simplify setup and save time, you can auto-generate communities, based on any existing groups created in Access Evo. The system automatically syncs user memberships every four hours, so once this has been enabled any new users will automatically be added to the community chat that they belong to.

Enable auto community chats

To use the groups created within Access Evo, follow these simple steps:

⚠️ Important: To follow these steps, you need Administrator permissions.

  1. Click Moderation Tools, then click Community Moderation.

  2. Type an appropriate name in the Community Name field.

  3. Click Groups and choose the applicable one from the options that populate.

  4. Click Apply.

Edit users included in community chats

Communities are direct copies of groups created and managed in Access Evo.

To edit who's included in specific community chats, you need to edit the group within Access Evo, then allow up to four hours of sync time for this to automatically update in Access Messenger afterwards.

Delete a community chat

There may be times where a specific community chat is no longer needed.

It's currently not possible to delete a community chat directly. However, you can work around this by removing users from the associated group in Access Evo, then allow up to four hours of sync time for this to update and remove them from the Access Messenger community.

Turn off sync

To stop new users from being added in future, simply turn off the sync for the associated group once the updates have gone through.

To turn the sync off, follow these steps:

⚠️ Important: To follow these steps, you need Administrator permissions.

  1. Click Moderation Tools.

  2. Click Community Moderation.

  3. Under Enable Auto Community, select the check box to untick the appropriate group.
