Release Details:

  • Release Date: 6 October 2026

  • Type: Automatic release

  • Action required: None

Improvements

  • Broadcasts (BETA ONLY): Broadcasts can now go to more recipients, now up to 1000. You can also add whole groups as well as individual people.

    • You can now save a broadcast as a draft: set the name and recipients first, then send the first message when you're ready.

    • A broadcast that only partly sends is now marked "Partially failed" and can be retried. Retrying won't send a duplicate to anyone who already received it.

    • Broadcasts now support image, video, audio and file attachments. Only supported document and media types can be selected.

  • Sidebar search now groups results into Users, Conversations and Messages. Clicking a person opens your existing direct message with them, or starts a new one.

  • Improved search results to be more user friendly.

  • Communities now show the correct total member count, and the members list shows everyone - removed hard cap of 100

  • Direct message push notifications now show correctly in Microsoft Edge. Previously Edge showed "This site was updated in the background" instead.

  • Messenger can now be opened in a browser from the Evo mobile menu, signing in through Access Identity.

Thank you for your continued support. We're committed to delivering a reliable and secure messaging experience, and your feedback helps us improve Access Messenger with every release. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact our support team.
